Indoor walls are a great place to build strength and technique, but the first day on real rock is a different game: natural holds instead of colour-coded ones, and route-finding instead of a set line up the wall. This session bridges that gap, on single-pitch ground chosen to suit climbers who are already comfortable indoors and ready to take it outside.

Expect coaching on outdoor movement and footwork, reading a route on real rock, and the general systems and etiquette of an outdoor crag, at a pace that builds on what you already know rather than starting from zero. This isn’t a trad leading course — at most it includes a light taster of gear-based climbing, not full instruction in placing and leading on trad gear.
